Random winner picker

Paste your giveaway or raffle entries, one per line, and spin to draw a winner. Duplicate entries are blocked and every winner leaves the wheel, so drawing several prizes is fair.

“Remove from wheel” deletes this entry from your list so it can’t come up again. Undo brings it back.

How to pick a giveaway winner

  1. Collect the entries. Copy the names or usernames of everyone who entered, for example from the comments on your post, a sign-up form or a spreadsheet column.
  2. Paste them into the list, one entry per line. Repeated names are counted once (see below), and the counter under the list shows how many entries are on the wheel.
  3. Spin to draw. The winner appears in a large result window and is removed from the wheel straight away.
  4. Draw more winners if you need them. Spin once for each prize. Because each winner leaves the wheel, nobody can win twice. If you remove someone by mistake, press Undo in the result window.

WheelQuirk doesn’t connect to Instagram, YouTube, TikTok or any other account, so it never sees your followers or comments. You paste in the list yourself, and it stays in your browser.

Duplicate entries are blocked by default

People sometimes comment more than once. Block duplicate entries is switched on for this wheel, so every name appears on the wheel only once, however many times it’s in your list. Capital letters are ignored, so “@Sam” and “@sam” count as the same entry.

If your rules give some people extra entries, for example one entry per friend tagged, turn Block duplicate entries off. Each line then gets its own segment, so a name listed three times has three times the chance.

Run a giveaway people can trust

A fair draw matters, but so does showing that it was fair. These steps help:

  • Publish the rules first. Say how to enter, when entries close, how many winners there will be and how you’ll contact them.
  • Close entries before you draw. Copy the list after the deadline and don’t add late entries.
  • Draw on camera. Screen-record or livestream the spin with the entry count visible. The Results tab also lists every winner with the time of the draw.
  • Pick backup winners. Spin a few extra times and keep those names in order, in case a winner doesn’t reply in time.
  • Protect people’s details. Usernames are fine on screen, but leave email addresses and phone numbers off the wheel, especially if you share a link to it.

Social platforms have their own rules for promotions, and many countries have laws for prize draws. Check both before you launch. WheelQuirk is meant for informal giveaways, classroom raffles and fun prize draws, not for lotteries or draws where the law requires a particular method or independent verification (see our Terms of Use).

Questions and answers

Can it pick winners from Instagram or YouTube comments automatically?

No. WheelQuirk doesn’t log in to or read any social media account. Copy the usernames from the comments and paste them into the list. This keeps your account private and works with any platform.

How do I pick more than one winner?

Spin once for each winner. On this wheel, each winner is removed automatically after the spin, so the same person can’t be drawn twice.

What happens if someone entered more than once?

Block duplicate entries is on by default, so each name appears once. Turn it off if your rules allow multiple entries per person.

Is the draw really random?

Yes. The winner is picked by your browser’s cryptographic random number generator, and every entry has the same chance. The wheel then lands on the chosen entry.

How many entries can I add?

Up to 1,000 entries per wheel. On large lists the names on the wheel get small, but the name under the pointer is shown below the wheel while it spins.

Can I prove the draw was fair?

Record your screen or stream the spin live, with the full list and entry count visible. The Results tab keeps a timed list of every winner in this browser.
