Your challenge

“Remove from wheel” deletes this entry from your list so it can’t come up again. Undo brings it back.

How to play truth or dare with the wheel

  1. Pick who goes first. Sit in a circle, or put everyone’s names on the random name picker to choose the next player.
  2. Spin the wheel. It lands on a truth question or a dare. The full text appears in the result window, even when it’s too long to fit on the wheel.
  3. Answer or do it. Truths are answered honestly; dares are done on the spot. Agree on a forfeit for skipping before you start.
  4. Pass it on. The next player spins. Turn on Remove the winner after each spin in the Customize tab so no question comes up twice.

Choose a list for your group

The wheel starts with a mix of quick truths and dares. The samples under the list swap in other sets:

  • Just “Truth” or “Dare” leaves the choice to the wheel, and the group makes up the question.
  • Truth questions and Dares are longer, separate lists. Some groups let the player choose truth or dare first, then spin the matching list.
  • Kids’ truth or dare has gentle questions and silly, active dares for younger players and family game nights.

Every list is plain text, so you can delete anything that doesn’t suit your group and add your own ideas, one per line. Press Save to keep your custom list in this browser, or copy a share link so friends can spin the same wheel.

Keep the game fun for everyone

Truth or dare works best when everyone feels comfortable. A few house rules help:

  • Anyone can pass on a question or dare without having to explain why.
  • No dares that could hurt someone, break something or embarrass a person who isn’t playing.
  • What’s said in the game stays in the game. No photos or videos without permission.
  • Match the questions to the group. Lists for adults and for kids should be different.

All the ready-made truths and dares on this page are suitable for mixed groups. They don’t involve alcohol, risky stunts or anything you’d need to clean up afterwards.

Ways to change up the game

Two-wheel rounds
Spin “Truth” or “Dare” first, then load the matching list and spin again for the challenge.
Team truth or dare
Split into teams with the team picker. Teams take turns, and the whole team has to complete each dare.
Icebreakers
Use only the truth questions for a get-to-know-you round at a club, class or team event.
Video calls
Share your screen and spin for whoever’s turn it is. Pick dares that work on camera.

Questions and answers

Is the truth or dare wheel random?

Yes. Each entry has an equal segment and the result is picked with your browser’s cryptographic random number generator. To make dares come up more often, add more dares than truths.

Can I add my own truths and dares?

Yes. Edit the list, one truth or dare per line. Starting each line with “Truth:” or “Dare:” makes it clear which is which when the wheel stops.

Is there a version for kids?

Yes. Press the Kids’ truth or dare sample for gentle questions and silly dares that suit younger children and family game nights.

How do I stop questions repeating?

Turn on Remove the winner after each spin in the Customize tab. Each truth or dare is removed once it comes up, until you reset the wheel.

Can I play over a video call?

Yes. Share your screen while you spin, or send everyone a share link so they can see the same list.
